Thank you to everyone for trusting me to take on this role. It is an honour and a privilege to be taking over the baton from Sue.

I’m delighted that Sue Roberts of Knebworth Golf Club has agreed to be my Vice Captain and I look forward to working with her and the rest of the Committee. We have tried to spread the events around the county to allow as many members as possible to take part.

I have given a lot of thought to my chosen charity for 2025 and have settled on a small, local charity dear to my heart.  MELANOMAFOCUS is small organisation based in Cambridge formed in 2012 following a merger between two well-established melanoma charities.  They provide services and support for patients, carers and healthcare professionals.  You can read more about their work by visiting  www.melanomafocus.org.

 

​I hope that we can all enjoy good golf in 2025 with friends old and new, the principles of which are the foundation of our Society.  I look forward to meeting and chatting with as many members as possible and in particular, those new to our organisation.  Our Society continues to grow through networking and recommendation - long may it continue to provide friendship and fun golf throughout Hertfordshire and beyond!
